About You

You're a recent UC Berkeley grad (Bachelor's degree) or graduating May 2022. A hustler, who wants to get into the ground floor of a venture capital firm in the valley. You are a self-starter, naturally curious about new technology, love to learn, never satisfied with the status quo and you're the person that can strike up a conversation with a stranger anywhere.

🔥 Ideal Candidate:

• Active in the junior VC community, slack channels, startup scene, social groups and networking events and you've hustled your way into at least one VC internship or fellowship
• A history of jumping through brick walls to make stuff happen
• Writes like Hemingway and speaks like Obama
• A creator, a builder, an artist that when tackling projects, prefers a blank canvas versus an instruction manual
• An information seeker, who is constantly craving for the latest news, trends and tech
• Has an opinion about everything and friends often come to you with ideas knowing you have a POV

The Job

• Deal Sourcing:
  • 🔎 Identify, track and engage with early-stage investment opportunities that align with our firm’s investment thesis
  • 💬 Attend venture capital, start-up, and networking meetups to promote our firm, generate startup deal flow and build a stronger network with early-stage VCs
• Research:
  • 🧠 Perform market research and due diligence on potential investments (may include market sizing, market maps, trends, and competitor analysis, review of financial statements and reference checks)
• Fund Operations:
  • 💥 Track portfolio company news, financials, updates, manage firm’s CRM and investor relations initiatives
  • 📝 Write blog posts, newsletters, LP updates, other presentation/deck updates
